Nizels Golf & Country Club was host to the latest TP Society outing on 23rd May. And what a course it is! ... in immuculate condition from tee to green, it certainly did challenge the 12 of us.

As ever, a mixed bag seemed to the the order of the day, with some lovely shots occasionally being spoilt with the usual calls of "FOOooorreee" and "Shhhh......t", as well as the familiar plop noise a golf ball makes when it finds it calling in a lake (with about a 150 yard carry, the 3rd tee is not for the faint hearted)!

Congratultions to Bob Bowles, overall winner with 32 points (won on count back); Mike Pettitt for nearest the pin (and one of very few that managed to even hit the green); and Bob again for the longest drive.

As for the TP Ryder Cup ... alas Europe slipped back a few points after their victorious come back at Highwoods, losing the day 4-2. This leaves Europe trailing by 4 points: USA: 13, Europe: 9.

This just leaves me to thank everyone at Nizels for the exceptional service, great course, and just as great lasagne!

Peter.
